Sometimes I love my job. A lot.
This week I got a whole heap of goodies to try and one of my favourites was Bumble and Bumble’s thickening shampoo and conditioner. I’ve only ever used one of their products before – their sea salt spray – and found that it didn’t really do much for my hair. In truth, Lee Stafford’s sea salt spray gives me amazing waves that Bumble and Bumble couldn’t come close to. However, knowing how popular this shampoo and conditioner was, I was excited to try it and see if it did the job.
So I’ve been using this for a few days so far and I really like it. It makes my desperately-in-need-of-a-cut hair nice and soft and does add a bit more oomph to my poker straight hairdo. Now, this may sound a little strange but when I use rich shampoos and conditioners that are there to ‘fix’ my hair after towel drying my hair is still pretty soaking and takes ages to blow dry. Is it just me that finds this sometimes? Anyway, with this, I still get soft hair, but it doesn’t take an age to dry. Any downsides? So far, just the extra static in my hair and the price. For the shampoo and conditioner together it costs £38.50. Gulp. It’s not the most I’ve ever spent on haircare (there is an Ojon post coming up next week) but I’ll definitely need to see maintained results and to not go through a bottle a week in order to justify a purchase.
Have you tried Bumble and Bumble? Did you like it?
