Gift tag attempts part 2

After my gift tag experiment a while back I had another go recently.

First I wanted to try a shaped tag that would match one of my cards. The cute animal cards in my shop were the easiest ones to start with and I settled on this now sold hedgehog card that I really need to make more of and this elephant card.

I decided to get the hedgehog cut file open in Silhouette along with an outline of the shape and cut them out.

IMG_2897I had a bit of a brain blank when it came to the string and glued it inbetween the two cuts. At that point my other half pointed out it now looked like a Christmas decoration. Oops.

I then decided to do a simpler design for the elephant tag.

I like this. Very simple and cute. The question is, should I offer this with the matching card in the shop?

With Christmas in mind I then decided to move onto some Christmas tags. The first ones were pretty simple cuts using the Silhouette.

IMG_3351I love this one.

I then tried some more like the hedgehog tag.

IMG_3348This was nice except even though they’re from the same cut file the white cut was bigger and so you can see a white border on the reverse.

IMG_3353This is my favourite. The silver paper behind the glitter card is perfect and I think I’ll make more of these for my own Christmas presents as soon as I find some more of the paper.

I’m not done with gift tags yet and I’ll definitely share the ones I finally settle on for Christmas.

What do you think?
