At the same conference I talked about last week I also picked up some Benefit goodies I hadn’t tried before and wanted to do a quick run down of them.
They were giving some minis away to promote their Christmas stocking offer where you buy a selection of minis of some of their best products and get a cute mini stocking to put them in. Out of the items on offer I picked out three items I’d never tried before.
Stay Flawless Primer
As a lover of Porefessional I was excited to try a different primer offering from Benefit. I was sadly disappointed. I didn’t like the application – which is with a stick – and it made my face feel kind of dry afterwards, meaning my foundation didn’t really glide onto my skin like it would normally. I also didn’t find my foundation lasting any longer that it would with Porefessional underneath so sadly this is not something I’ll be buying more of.
Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow
As I can’t get any eyeshadow to stay on my eyes without a generous dose of UD’s Eye Potion I really wanted to try the creaseless cream and it really didn’t disappoint.
The colour is a lovely neutral that goes with anything and applies really well. It actually doesn’t crease either! Amazing! You get loads in the pot so I can’t see myself needing to purchase this shade again but I’ll definitely be tempted by something else in the range.
Instant Comeback Facial Serum
I’ve never used any of Benefit’s skincare as I’m a Liz Earle girl but I liked the sound of this serum that plumps and hydrates tired skin leaving it firmer, smoother and energised apparently. After a few days use I quite liked this and my skin did feel a bit plumped. My only issue with this is it does leave your skin a little sticky afterwards, so you would definitely need to make sure you put something over the top of it before applying make up. I would quite like to try the rest of Benefit’s skincare and they do a nice little mini’s set that I’ve got my eye on. That might just be a Christmas present to myself!
Have you tried any of these Benefit goodies? What did you think?
