Depending on how long you’ve been following this blog you may remember some posts from last year showing some cards I’d made with the new MME Necessities range (here and here if you haven’t seen them).
Well it’s wedding season again and I’ve gone back to My Minds Eye for the cards once again. This time I’ve used some of their Jubilee range that I picked up for a steal from One Stop Craft Shop.
For my cards I wanted something simple and elegant with silver and gold placed with pinks and reds.
The papers and enamel dots were all from the range above. The embossed cardstock was some I picked up from Hobbycraft ages ago. I’m sure I’ve spoken about my love for embossed cardstock before as it allows you to add something a bit extra to a card that isn’t plain, but isn’t an overbearing pattern either. The alphas were from the Necessities range and work really well with the Jubilee range. As you can see, I should have backed my embossed cardstock as it’s quite thin. So on the next card, that’s what I did..
I think I prefer the alphas on this one.
Next I moved on to some silver and pink cards.
The background paper on this one is from the Necessities range and the silver enamel dots are from other Jubilee collection (I bought about three all at once). I do love this silver and pink mix.
I made one last card but went down the anniversary card route instead.
As usual, MME has helped me make some beautiful cards. Now I’ve found that TK Maxx sell old/discontinued MME stuff I’ve added to my collection even more! A word of warning though to anyone looking through the TK Maxx stationery section… not all of it is as good value as it appears. I’ve found some of it looks more like seconds/faulty stock.
What do you think of these?
P.S. The bottom three cards are all available in the shop now!
